How does this routine work on pimples and comedones?
This routine combines potent active ingredients that prevent the causes of acne and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation spots. BHA, better known as salicylic acid, deeply cleans pores to prevent clogging and accompanying inflammation. Niacinamide has a double effect: it helps prevent the formation of hyperpigmentation spots, preventing melanin from entering the skin cells, but it is also a favorite ingredient for oily skin care because it strengthens the hydrolipidic layer and reduces sebum production. Phytoplankton has a similar effect, which in a dose of only 2%, according to clinically proven studies, reduces the production of sebum and supports the strengthening of the skin structure. Glycyrrhetinic acid almost combines all these effects. This innovative ingredient, the most potent part of licorice root extract, provides as many as four mechanisms of action: two against hyperpigmentation spots and two for sebum control. It reduces and alleviates the inflammation that precedes the emergence of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, but also directly inhibits the excessive synthesis of melanin. In addition, it reduces lipogenesis, i.e. the sebum production process, and inhibits the conversion of testosterone into the active DHT form, which can also cause excessive sebum secretion.
In order to provide gentle but effective care for acne-prone skin, the L'ADRIA routine is based on the prevention of inflammation and the causes of acne and soothing the skin in accordance with its natural processes, all without any aggressive ingredients.
Can the products be used independently of others?
Yes, all products from this routine can be used independently if that suits you.
What are the advantages of mixing serums and creams?
Depending on the age, our skin has different needs for lipids, so the ratio of cream and serum we need varies. L'ADRIA serums can be mixed with HARMONIZING CREAM, which enables the creation of new textures that correspond to the specific and seasonal needs of your skin. The exact amount of product is individual - you can use a smaller amount of cream and a larger amount of serum, depending on the current needs of the skin and the age of the year. The possibilities are numerous! The main benefit of mixing potent serums with a neutral cream is that it enables the gradual introduction and optimal dosing of potent active ingredients on sensitive skin. Only CLARIFYING SERUM should not be mixed with creams because it works best on its own.
What if I have sensitive skin?
These products are suitable for sensitive skin.
Is the morning routine a suitable base for make-up?
Absolutely! The intensive moisturizing and smoothing effect of the INSTANT REVITALIZING SERUM combined with the elegant texture of the HARMONIZING CREAM is an excellent makeup base.
Are all products safe to use during pregnancy?
All L'ADRIA products, except CLARIFYING SERUM, can be used during pregnancy. CLARIFYING SERUM contains salicylic acid, which is not recommended for use during pregnancy.
Can I use CLARIFYING SERUM in summer?
We recommend that you use SPF all year round. CLARIFYING SERUM contains BHA (salicylic acid), which is said to increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun. However, according to the new recommendations (SCCS/1601/18, Final Opinion, Corrigendum of 20-21 June 2019), BHA is not actually photoirritant, photosensitizing or photocarcinogenic. CLARIFYING SERUM is also very rich in extremolites such as ectoine with proven photoprotective action. In combination with a product with SPF, which you should always use anyway, CLARIFYING SERUM is a very safe choice for use all year round.
