L'ADRIA HARMONIZING CREAM is specially created for the oily, comedone-prone skin care. Light watery texture cream of pearly white colour, without aggressive ingredients and accompanying irritations, reduces sebum secretion and the formation of hyperpigmentation spots, which will restore the harmony of your skin.

The secret of its action lies in a powerful triad of main ingredients: phytoplankton, niacinamide and an innovative ingredient - glycyrrhetinic acid from licorice root. Combination of these ingredients provides a triple effect: it effectively reduces the sebum production, suppresses the formation of hyperpigmentation spots while restoring the damaged skin barrier with its soothing effect.

Phytoplankton, made up of microscopic marine algae, is extremely beneficial because its unique action regulates and reduces excessive sebum production.

Niacinamide complements its action by improving the structure of the skin's outer layer and has an additional effect on hyperpigmentation, preventing the transfer of melanin to the skin.

The crown jewel of this formula is the innovative glycyrrhetinic acid, added to harmoniously unite the action of phytoplankton and niacinamide. This amazing acid from licorice root has a triple effect on balancing the impure skin. It is extremely effective in suppressing excessive sebum secretion, has a calming effect on micro-inflammations and inhibits the melanin synthesis in the skin. L'ADRIA CLARIFYING SERUM is inspired by the gentle clarifying effect of the sea.

The watery droplets contain the essence of the sea, algae and extremolytes, special molecules that help marine organisms survive extreme conditions, combined with the purifying BHA, or salicylic acid.

2 % of BHA formulated in an acidic environment can penetrate and decongest pores, while extremolytes protect skin from potential negative effects of BHA products – peeling skin, dehydration, irritation and sun sensitivity. In addition, the serum does not contain ethyl alcohol nor the environmentally unfriendly petrochemical solvents, which can be drying to skin.

The most famous extremolyte is ectoin. It is a natural molecule found in halophyllic organisms, that live exposed to high concentrations of salt. Although discovered in a salty puddle in a desert, ectoin is found in marine organisms as well. You might imagine such conditions as a puddle by the sea, filled with sea water, allowed to slowly condense to form crystals of salt. Ectoin and other extremolytes such as betaine create a hydration shield around cellular structures and molecules, protecting them from stressful outer influences, including UV rays. This is especially important while using exfoliants, that reduce the thickness of the outer skin layer, thus increasing the sensitivity to the sun.

But, we like to call L'ADRIA CLARIFYING SERUM a serum rather than a classic exfoliant, due to its mild effects that are suited for long term use on oily, problematic and sensitive skin, with reduced risks of negative effects caused by exfoliants. Still, we recommend to use an SPF while using this product.
